SWP Storage

About SWP

Secure Segregated Storage

Clients who opt for our Secure Segregated Storage receive their own uniquely identified industrial clear plastic tote. Deposited metals are first placed inside a tamper evident bag, the bag is sealed and then placed inside the tote. Following each deposit, the tote is sealed with a locking-seal and stored on an elevated steel shelf within our Class 3 UL rated vault.

How Secure Segregated Storage Works

Making a Deposit

If you wish to make a deposit to your Secure Segregated Storage account, you have several options:

  1. Purchase metals directly from SWP or one of SWP’s reputable dealer partners that is actively selling and buying inventory within the vault. Once the purchase has been completed, the dealer will send release instructions to SWP to transfer the metals from their vault inventory into your Secure Segregated Storage account. You receive a confirmation of the deposit.
  2. You also have the opportunity to deposit or transfer existing metals that you may currently be storing at home or in another depository. We can arrange a fully insured shipment of the metals to our facility on your behalf. Alternatively, this can be accomplished by hand carrying the metals to the Cayman Islands by flight or cruise ship. Once the materials arrive at our facility, they are deposited into your Secure Segregated Storage account and you receive a confirmation of the deposit.
  3. SWP is also happy to work with bullion dealers who are not currently listed as one of our dealer partners so long as they satisfy our due diligence process.

Making a Withdrawal

You have the ability to withdraw your metals upon 24 hours’ notice. Simply call or email us to request the withdrawal. The metals can either be picked up from the facility during regular business hours or we can arrange a fully insured delivery to your address on file.

Selling Metal

You can sell your metals directly to SWP or any of the bullion dealers operating within our vault. This creates an extremely liquid two-way market. Settlement from the sale generally occurs within 48-72 hours and the proceeds are remitted to you directly by the dealer.

Reporting

As a non-financial institution SWP has no wealth reporting requirements to either the Cayman or any foreign government or entity. We will provide you with a monthly inventory statement.

Auditing

All Secure Segregated Storage accounts are subject to an annual independent audit performed by Bureau Veritas - Inspectorate. You will receive a copy of the audit statement.

Testing

We have the ability to authenticate all precious metals in the vault using industry leading testing equipment.

Insurance

All metals held in Secure Segregated Storage accounts are fully insured up to their replacement value under the terms of our comprehensive insurance policy, which is underwritten by Lloyd’s of London. A copy of the insurance policy is available upon request.
